Just a little reminder of what they actually started with. I will never live that betrayal down lol
Worse than the Joneses-the parents. Parents who grew up when cars were good for 3 years and 50K miles on 3K oil changes. Oblivious to 50 years of vehicle longevity improvements
probably more than one. A friend of our rolled 3 negative equity leases into one Subaru, which she then rolled into a lease on a new one as soon as Subaru would let her. On a boring ass Subie.
> but goddamn that torque number.
It ain’t 2016 anymore
Yes - those are impressive numbers - especially the flat torque graph - but you cannot compare the torque between engines and motors.
I don’t think electric motors lose 8% to the wheels. Why would they? I am assuming it’s a direct drive to the wheels, is the power going through a transmission or a differential?
That is a torque table, not a curve. Just a plateau.
Indeed.
Boy, something really happened around 1988 and peaked in 2005ish or so, now they’re falling off. Also interesting to see how much more common they are in the US. Apparently, we’re watching too much scifi schlock. If aliens were here, they could literally do anything they wanted and we would be totally powerless to…

The files they use are called ALAC or FLAC files, and they’re better quality than MP3 but are slightly larger files. When they’re played back, an algorithm returns the file to its original size to play at “full…
Take studies from 10 years ago, link to articles written 15 years ago and create a premise with no testing validations...
It seems equivalent to claiming that 4k video and VHS look the same...when viewed on a 40 year old CRT TV.
The problem is these files are large and hard to share on the internet.
Obvious answer is obvious answer. Altima.
Anything with a crackle/pop tune. The most common offenders by me are BMW 3 series who just endlessly accelerate and slam on the brakes for maximum pop. Good amount of WRXs too. As an old man now, there seems to be a new scene in the WRX world where the ideal is to not have a clean and nice appearing car, but to have…
Nissan Ultimas! Everywhere I go, there are numerous people in clapped out altimas, weaving through traffic and driving crazy.
I used to wait all year for Thanksgiving and grandma would make her Cream of Propylene Glycol Alginate soup. Even better cold the next day for breakfast with the turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce sandwich.
