The other key is Subaru allows you to get a manual in the top tier trim levels. Most it’s a base model only option and may even have less features than the base model.

For the Subaru buyer, since they have the time, consider going with Subaru’s VIP Purchase program. 2% below invoice, all it requires is donating to one of their partner charities (some minimum is required, read the fine print). Once you’ve donated for 6 months, you can call the charity up and request your VIP

And increase the difficulty of getting a “I drive myself around” license. The default is you get an autonomous car. If you want manual driving, you need to prove you know what the heck you’re doing.

We’re not ready, but that’s what they want. Hopefully to be delivered at some point. I could see the advantage of a “red eye” road trip, or letting my car get me to work with no input. Punch in the destination, go back to bed and wake me up when we get there.

That’s truly epic and awesome. Sounds like someone at Lightstream was trying to pocket the difference in the rates.

Plus the time value of money. My dollar 60 months from now won’t have the same purchasing power, but will internal to the loan.
