Stealthily turbo a Ferrari? I can do alot of things but I'm not that good! The good part? They'd have a hell of a time catching me!
The only thing I need is alot more money!!! Thanks tho dude!
Now we on the same page!
Well considering I used to design chassis, I know that the basics are all the same. And your reference is on a completely different car, designed for a completely different thing, built in a completely different manner. Just stop trying now dude...
I get where we are not getting eachother. You are talking about how it will suck on the street. I definately get you on that one being the former owner of a 806 rwhp foxbody that just wants to kill you all the time. I was talking about use for road courses. Miscommunication.
No I'm not backing off that point. The shocks are adjustable. You don't need to change em. I am saying that those things aren't going to hinder him on a road course. The only thing that would, is if they are using a full-locker diff. THAT is not the easiest of jobs on a car with a rear-transaxle. The spring, (if he is…
I am seriously waiting to hear one of these with turbos. The sound will probably either make my head explode, or give me permanent blue-balls...
That's on a goat dude. Not all IRS suspensions are like that. A C6 corvette shock swap for all 4 shocks pays 2.1 hours (1.2 hours for both front, 0.9 hours for both rear). So your pain in the ass scenario really isn't that big of one. You may not know but I am in the auto business and have been for my entire career. I…
Well put sir! That is a fucking good one!
Road worthy, yes. He just get's the added bonus of having a more capable car in other areas due to it being IRS!
You had me at Aston...
Effort and money. If you don't want to give em up, don't race. You are quite right on that.
The other thing you have to realize too is that it has boost that he can turn down. Another win thanks to adjustablity and good planning!
Yup. My old 806 rwhp foxbody was a bit of a handfull on the streets as well. I can only imagine with 400 whp added to that! My mustang basically wanted to kill you on normal roads. It's not quite as well designed as the vette tho.
Street driven my friend. That is the reasoning...
Dampening is easily changed if you are using good supension, and springs are short work to prepare it for some twisties.
What makes the IRS in this one specific to drag racing? Dampening? Adjustable. Alignment settings? Also, adjustable. Wheelie bars? Removable. Tires? A simple rim swap takes care of that. What in particular are you talking about?
Exactly my point sir!!!
