Simple answer...never. Co-workers are co-workers, not friends. My personal life is strictly separated from my professional.
Again, the government didn’t step in and stop the protest.
I don’t see the government stepping in and stopping either speech or protest there. Constitution is in fine shape.

That’s because HR is not there for the employees, only for the employer. As long as the situation in question won’t result in the employer getting their ass sued off, then they don’t give a shit. HR is not, and never will be your friend.
This applies to developers too. Looking back at my old code is almost painful at times (WTF was I thinking here?) but it shows how my thought processes have changed, and my understanding of the subject has matured over the years.
And some, older, models that drawer is actually a broiler. Growing up, that is what our oven had, a slotted pan for the meat that fit over a deep pan for collecting the grease, the gas burners that also heated the oven were right above the meat in this case (within inches). Needless to say, this arrangement meant…
Same here, on the account I set up for work.
Actually, if you are impeding the left lane, you ARE breaking the law in many states, regardless of the speed of traffic. Troopers generally are not worried about speed until there is a large variance from the surrounding flow.
I’d think if you’ve managed to leave enough of a carbon layer to significantly impact compression, you would have run into engine problems long before you got to the point where you would need to change the octane of the fuel. I’d also probably wonder if coal tar was being used as a fuel additive.
It’s really just a 4 port usb hub with 4 selectable outputs. So I can direct the devices plugged into it to different machines. But yeah, I guess you could call it a KM switch. I tried putting an external HDD on it, and became concerned that I was going to trash the filesystem swapping it around.
I have 3 laptops on my desk with one keyboard/mouse attached to all with a USB switch. I only have an external display on my “work” machine, so I don’t need the video switching. But the USB switch works well to be able to switch control from one machine to another all using the same keyboard and mouse.
As a developer, I use a very specific environment and toolset for doing my job. Upgrading an OS tends to break it. As evidenced in how Win10 refused to allow signed software to install and configure network interfaces, making my virtualization tools useless until I was able to find a fix for them. Everything worked…
More of a “Hey guys, how’d you get in my back yard, why don’t you come inside, we’ll call you a ride and give you a meal while we wait.”
This is great in theory, but you have to have co-workers and management that respect this time. In practice, especially with management, their problems are always more important than your work.
Got two traps up in the kitchen right now, both are clear glass with an inverted paper cone on them. Flies get in, and cant get out, trapped until they hit the vineger.
If you subscribe to LastPass premium, you have access to LastPass mobile. Well worth the $12 a year.
I generally don’t tell my current employer that i’m looking. I wait until I’ve landed but not yet accepted an offer. that way there is an opportunity for them to counter, or if they decide to march me out the door right then for not being a “team player”, I know I will still have employment.
Like many other things in life, hosting is very much a "you get what you pay for" situation.
