The league I'm familiar with has roughly half of its teams trying their hardest not to put the best possible product on the floor. Spoiled fans? Not this one. Of course so many NBA fanbases are explicitly supportive of tanking that it's likely I'm in the minority here.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry for people who spent money on League Pass this season, what with over half of the league actively trying to lose, and two thirds of those not really even needing to try too hard at it.

The problem here is that the game was so deeply flawed and stupid at such fundamental levels that it's impossible to adequately describe it with mere words, or to untangle the nuggets of genuinely good play from the morass of bad.

You were at the early Christmas celebration at my in-laws' yesterday?

There needs to be a broad longitudinal study of CTE instead of just looking for it where they're pretty sure they'll find it, otherwise we'll never really understand the problem.

Not only did it leave a mark, I think it left a dent - which I believe is still there to this day.

Somewhere, Kurt Busch is laughing and taking notes.

I enjoy violent sports probably more than the next guy, but at some point this just crosses the line into criminal conduct. In this case, probably everything after the trip crosses that line.

Yep, IIRC a girl won last year basically throwing basketball-style chest passes.

Not T-Bone?

Finley, Bulaga, Cobb, Franklin, Heyward, Deitrich-Smith, Francois, Lattimore, Wilson, Bostick does not equal 1 man. That said, it looked like there was a whole lot of give up out there today, but maybe it just looks that way when you're overmatched as badly as GB is on both lines. If you play GB without being scared,

I fully understood it's the NAIA. The principles involved are the same, and I'm no fan of either organization for the most part. The point is, it's childish to yell BULLSHIT until there is actual bullshit involved. Let the process run it's course.

So it's bullshit that they're reviewing the situation? Or is the rule bullshit? Because if the rule is bullshit, the Waco Area Auto Dealers Association will be holding free throw contests in which randomly selected people (who coincidentally all play hoops at Baylor) will suddenly be winning big prizes at their

This is a well-played, understated response, the nature of which I would be unable to muster.

It's the kind of story that seems right in Deadspin's wheelhouse, though perhaps it is something that needs calmer reflection before it's posted. Either way, the comments should be a treat.

I'm kinda surprised that nothing has yet been posted about the gay high school QB stabbing his 27-year-old lover to death.

If his recovery time were a function of how often ESPN mentions the injury on every one of their platforms, he'd be in the lineup tomorrow.

Pac 12 officials can't even spot a ball that fast.

After comparing this to the first Eagles TD last Sunday, my only hypothesis is that the 'G' is the problem.

Offense: Sexual Assault
