I made a comment yesterday critical of the Amanda Bynes essay. I had 24 recommends. I can still see the 24 recommends in my little dash. I had several replies. If I click to link to the comment the comment is all gone from the article. ABSOLUTELY there is censorship here, it has to really happen to you to see it.

Gosh, I'm pretty sure there's an easy solution to that problem... one that doesn't involve wholesale deletion of entire accounts.

"Why not update the post, leave the link intact, leave the hundreds of critical comments below it intact, and apologize sincerely for the decision to commission and publish the photos?"

It was a combination of factors. Two rich girls were asking regular people to pay for their hobbies, not their jobs, but their hobbies. And it was a hobby they weren't even good at and put very little effort into doing on their own. They gave little to no incentive for anyone to donate, they just expected to get it.

This times a billion! Veronica Mars has a fanbase. It's an established series with fans who want a definitive ending from the cliffhanger 3rd season. The Cabin Sisters have nothing, but hopes and dreams. $40,000 for a music video by an unsigned duo is cray cray. Clerks, a full movie, was made for about $30,000.

I have to add that when I read an article a few weeks ago about Cabin Sisters, I googled them out of curiosity to hear if they're any good, and couldn't find *any recordings*. Seriously. Before you make a $40,000 music video... make a fuckin' *song*.
