i dont understand much of what you said since i never tried Oculus rift but i thought that oculus rift work with the same principal as 3D tv except it has head tracking and thus ableto play any standard 3D game likes its on 3D TV (like watching 3D video if that make sense)

On a side note, I don't really recommend playing anything on the Rift that doesn't do some form of head-tracking. It'll likely be a quick trip to pukesville if you start moving your head around too much.
