i think they over done it. the frame change is ok but the background is like a modern minimalist art. i find it really hard to get a “feel of the world”

while i like shaft and what they done with monogatari, i hope they tone down the “shaft style”, from the way to many frame change and random background art that doesnt connect to the “world” makes it pretty hard to follow and get a sense of what that world actually looks like

dont worry, they basically dropped the plot and pissed on it to make it annul title. by this point, the plot is basically non existent and is just a filler story for each game.
