Can someone more versed in thermodynamics than I posit whether measuring the air temperature being kicked out from the exhaust is actually a sign of the console “running hotter” or whether this could just be a sign that it’s more efficient at exhausting heat thanks to a fan that moves more air?

So I have at least 6 physical PS5 games (Rift Apart, Returnal, Demons Souls, Spider Man MM, Yakuza LaD, Hitman 3).

Well fuck, that’s even worse. Sounds like these publishers know they have too many indie setups over a barrel because they know the other players in the mix are no better.

They’d have to get you to sign an NDA before even looking at the contract which seems a bit hard to do, and potentially not enforceable. Speak in vague enough terms and don’t name the company (like Jake has done here) and they can’t do shit without outing themselves.

Considering the large number of either translations errors or just straight up editing mistakes in the english subtitles, is it so hard to believe that asian words and characters would be used incorrectly?

If Luke and his partner feel that’s what’s best, power to them. I didn’t want to comment on the levels of strictness because god knows when I was a kid my parents tried to instill a sense of responsible time limits but I ignored them and “wasted” a ton of time playing games. Finding a healthy balance that works

Not to bash on your parenting because that’s your perogative, but just to clarify when you say kids don’t get to play games in a schoolweek; is that like they get weekends to play if they want for a few hours and Monday to Friday it’s off limits, or nothing at all until school holidays?

Oh man I forgot Rockstar had Max Payne. Quick, someone get Sam Lake on the phone and see if Remedy can get it back. We might get some more that way, or at least avoid a Max Payne Online debacle.

I feel that every industry is passed the “blame covid” point for any issues they have, even the games industry that sees projects being extremely collaborative and spanning years. If they set a release date and announced it post covid being a thing then they already built that into their estimates, this to me is more

It’s funny how these seminal moments in games garner different responses from us. 14 year old you took it in for what it was meant to be, something touching and intimate whereas 8 year old me just wanted to get back to fighting monsters. Took a few years, some hormones, and a replay of the game to realise that “Wait,

Ah yes, hardware from the same company that brought you “controller that doesn’t actually have buttons” meet “Handheld you have to hold higher than will feel comfortable or you’ll get a super neck crick”.

The upsetting thing I saw was that the series lends itself so well to either an asynchronous multiplayer with Zombies Vs Humans (think halfways between L4D and Dead by Daylight, or like Aliens Vs Predator way back on 2000 was) and they didn’t capitalise on it. The world needs more unique MP experiences. I’m still

Oh woah new layout, weird.

No one wants to see you go hollow, but you won’t have much choice when you heave your guts up 10 minutes in.

Someone on reddit posted it to the Steam sub.

I believe I saw a more damning aspect of this year’s PC release though that on Steam it shows as having a “single machine activation” limit. Meaning if you change out some parts of your PC, or replace your PC that game is no longer able to be played despite having been paid for and tied to your Steam ID anyway.

The thing is you lose the ability to change combat styles on the fly after Kiwami 2. 0 has the most variety available to the player and the progression is easier to see as you can plan your build as you level up. It’s much more in depth. I’m only up to 4 at the moment but have played them all back to back.

You can absolutely start with 0. Everything that is a “callback” to 1/Kiwami works the other way round as well. The only real drawback that could potentially happen is that people claim 0 has better gameplay/combat so going from 0 to Kiwami can seem like a downgrade. Personally I preferred Kiwami but I did start with

It sounds like a dash of both. SEGA obviously see enough in sales to push for PC to be a staple of their releases going forward, but at the same time if Judgement is to become the new Yakuza (I believe I read that Yakuza was staying RPG and Judgement was taking over as the beat em up series in the universe) they’d be

Probably the case that the contract was initially signed prior to the first judgement game and before SEGA was pushing to get all their games on PC as well (it’s only recently that PC has become a large part of their sales and releases).
