I’m guessing it’s not abandonware status yet since Ubi is still going and it’s technically under their umbrella despite the specific studios now being defunct (Edit: scratch that just checked that the studios are still running and didn’t ever actually get disbanded or absorbed into other Ubi studios). Shame really,

Same here. I can’t remember exactly when I got it, but it was a launch model during the 2nd wave of sales. Used it pretty much everyday and it’s absolutely fine other than the jet engine mode on demanding games.

I wonder what percentage of consoles currently in service are launch consoles in Japan, and worldwide.

This generation doesn’t seem to be marred by high failure rates like the PS3/360 era. This move may prematurely “disconnect” a large number of consoles from the PS4 improvements that the later models may still get by

That’s funny because I dropped the series partly because they started really handwaving over the modern day parts and practically dropped any narrative drive in those sections. Was it AC3 or Unity that threw you into the past and only pulled you out to dump exposition and throw you back in?

Likely would need a “day one” patch to get the PS5 compat to pick it up and work, so if it doesn’t work the patch won’t fit and the game would error on launch.

There could be tons of reasons. One example I’m thinking of is if anything is tied to framerate which I presume the PS5 would accelerate as it would outperform what the PS4 version could crank out per second. Potentially a patch to lock framerate might work, and then it stops physics issues in the game, but if there’s

Not flipping the Xbox upside down to test how it holds up like you’ve done with the PS5, Ari?

I didn’t realise this was a standalone game. I thought it was like the little robot playroom thing where it was thrown in with the console.

Character creators often suck for lack of choice that actually represents us as a whole (can anyone say generic white male, short hair, space marine trope?) but isn’t some of this potentially also due to the fact that when you do go wacky and wild with a character creator, your avatar does not fit into the world at

I’ve not been fussed about backwards compatibility for a few generations now, but the wording of this article got me thinking: the PS4 copies of games like FFVII that are from the PSN and available on PS3 and PS4, do we know how these work?

I’ve noticed that I seem to have plateau’d around 15-16 as an someone who plays a lot, but no longer really actively trophy hunts. One time of day it was easy to fly up the ranks and it started me aiming for some platinums, but that dropped off when a full game 100% no longer hit the sides of a level.

I’m not about this negativity up in here. The Digimon movie was great. Great enough that when I found a full copy on Youtube 3 years ago I sat and watched it until 4am. It paved the way for Summer Wars.

Maybe people shouldn’t be left handed.

Interesting. Thinking back I started with SNES but played a lot of Sega Megadrive (Genesis to you guys). The three buttons in a row may have started my habit as there was no real comfortable way to get all the buttons. The compromise was to rest on the middle button/s so you could rock back and forth to the other two,

I would kill for NFSU3. Much like the remaster of THPS 1+2 has me wanting THUG3. We need more Underground 3s in the world.

Is it? Westerner here that plays a ton of JP games and my thumb for both d-pad and face buttons sits right in the middle of the buttons so I can just rock my thumb to hit any button with the same level of effort.

I think you should shut up before you give them any ideas.

Having grown up playing a ton of JRPGs, MGS and god knows how many japanese games, circle has been my default for what should be an “accept” button for decades. There’s enough games across cultures here that do their own thing and have done so for long enough that “to ease it for developers” seems like a backward way

Save me some dosh, I was considering picking up Vampyr for a while so this helps. NFS I haven’t played since the shitey 2015 reboot so I’ll give this a shake to see if they made them playable again.

With it coming to PS4 seems more like a dev thing.
