Same here. I'd be fine using the rear touchpad to replace the L2/R2 and L3/R3 functionality, but I shouldn't need to use either touch interfaces to do things that the controls can do just fine.

The ACIII Liberation Bundle ($250 for the Vita and the game) has finally brought me to the point of justification for buying a Vita.

It is all about resolution and screen size. Watch a video of Uncharted Golden Abyss on your PC in fullscreen and it doesn't look that great. Actually play it on a Vita's 5-inch OLED screen and it looks amazing.
