Last night I saw a car on the SIDEWALK at the intersection of Powell and Geary at Union Square in San Francisco. I thought it was so bizarre that someone would actually drive up the handicapped ramp onto the sidewalk. There is a staircase there. He wasn’t going to be able to drive into the square.

Most of the Pokestops/Gyms with photos on interesting places came from Ingress. They repurposed the Portal database. So basically it was hand built because the portals were submitted by local agents/players.
