I do agree with your argument that the two situations are not comparable in terms of the circumstances and timing. I guess I just wanted to say that even without the stars we’d hoped to see, we still had a fun experience watching the game.

That’s true; Isaiah had the day off and it would have been cool to see him play, but I can now say that I’ve seen enough of Jae Crowder and Kelly Olynyk to last me a lifetime. Those two were a pain in the ass all day.

Not likely he will, but even Stauskas had a somewhat decent game yesterday!

I took my 9-year-old son to his first Sixers game yesterday (no, that doesn’t qualify as child abuse; not this year, anyway). Despite the fact that we knew going in we would not get to see Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid, the pure spectacle of a live basketball game — with all the attendant bells, whistles, thunder sticks,
