Its rated at 88 miles, and that's probably the right average, but it can fluctuate pretty wildly.

Yup. Although I think it pays for itself even without doing that. This way is a faster payoff, though.
I did mention it a while back. I'll probably keep bringing it up from time to time on here. if that's cool. I don't think many people know how feasible these things have become.
Lol...true.
That's a huge one for me. The dealer gets to take on all the technology risks. Until I start seeing 10+ year old EV's on the road, I'll probably keep leasing. At least while the lease deals stay this good.
I totally hear you. The only way it was feasible for me is because my wife has a minivan so we use that for longer trips. The EV is just for my daily commute.
I had been wanting to try those for a while, and was going back and forth between doing that and going dedicated router. My last consumer router wasn't supported by either of those firmwares, so I was going to need to buy a new router either way.
I've got the Nissan Leaf. I got just the base model, but with an upgraded charger. In theory you are supposed to put $2000 down to get the $200/month deal, but I traded in my old '98 vehicle that was around $1000 in blue book value and got the same payment.
I think moving the home network over to small-business grade hardware will pay for itself over time. Having separate router, switch and WAP's has at least made my network hella stable and infinitely easier to diagnose issues.
My electric car lease was being paid for with gasoline savings. I was paying between $250 and $300 per month in gas, and now I have a $200 lease and around $15 per month in additional electricity charges. Plus, my maintenance costs get zeroed out since the lease is under warranty, which my old car was definitely not.
Moving to wet shaving with a double ended blade can save a ton. The cost of the shaver, brush and lather is more than offset with cartridge savings.
A SodaStream will pay for itself over time.
That just makes it all the more tasty and nutritious.
I never dropped one in, thankfully. Although there are a few along the way that should have been dropped. The steam from the hot water does plenty of damage on its own.
And definitely don't read while sitting in the bath. I used to love doing that as a kid, but all the moisture in the air was hard on the books.
Of course its pain pills. Even after a short stint in the NFL he's either in chronic pain, addicted or both. That's sad as hell.
For the exact same amount of $$'s, I would get the odroid and get a 1.7 GHz quad-core ARM A9 instead of a dual core MIPS. At the very least there is a lot more support and community around ARM-based linux and software than there is for MIPS.
Yup...count me in on getting caught with this. I coasted all through high school, went to college and promptly failed Calculus I, and get C's and D's in my other classes. I didn't think I was behind and didn't worry about it until finals week when it was too late. Even though I landed on academic probation after my…
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I didn't have any student loans, but my wife did. During the real estate boom in the mid-2000's, we relocated to a different state and sold our previous home for enough profit that we were able to pay off the loans and still have enough for a sizable down payment on our next place.
