I had been wanting to try those for a while, and was going back and forth between doing that and going dedicated router. My last consumer router wasn't supported by either of those firmwares, so I was going to need to buy a new router either way.

I've got the Nissan Leaf. I got just the base model, but with an upgraded charger. In theory you are supposed to put $2000 down to get the $200/month deal, but I traded in my old '98 vehicle that was around $1000 in blue book value and got the same payment.

I think moving the home network over to small-business grade hardware will pay for itself over time. Having separate router, switch and WAP's has at least made my network hella stable and infinitely easier to diagnose issues.

My electric car lease was being paid for with gasoline savings. I was paying between $250 and $300 per month in gas, and now I have a $200 lease and around $15 per month in additional electricity charges. Plus, my maintenance costs get zeroed out since the lease is under warranty, which my old car was definitely not.

Moving to wet shaving with a double ended blade can save a ton. The cost of the shaver, brush and lather is more than offset with cartridge savings.

A SodaStream will pay for itself over time.

That just makes it all the more tasty and nutritious.

I never dropped one in, thankfully. Although there are a few along the way that should have been dropped. The steam from the hot water does plenty of damage on its own.

And definitely don't read while sitting in the bath. I used to love doing that as a kid, but all the moisture in the air was hard on the books.

Of course its pain pills. Even after a short stint in the NFL he's either in chronic pain, addicted or both. That's sad as hell.

For the exact same amount of $$'s, I would get the odroid and get a 1.7 GHz quad-core ARM A9 instead of a dual core MIPS. At the very least there is a lot more support and community around ARM-based linux and software than there is for MIPS.

Yup...count me in on getting caught with this. I coasted all through high school, went to college and promptly failed Calculus I, and get C's and D's in my other classes. I didn't think I was behind and didn't worry about it until finals week when it was too late. Even though I landed on academic probation after my

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I didn't have any student loans, but my wife did. During the real estate boom in the mid-2000's, we relocated to a different state and sold our previous home for enough profit that we were able to pay off the loans and still have enough for a sizable down payment on our next place.

In my experience negotiating with cars, if you negotiate with multiple dealers on cars with slightly different options packages (one guy doesn't have the basic package, but does have one in the next higher package), you can generally use the differential to your advantage. Especially if you start negotiating from

I asked different IT guys at work what their home setup is, and more often than not they seem to do a wired router like the Ubiquiti EdgeMax Lite, and then sprinkle around a few switches and wireless access points. They get crazy uptimes from all that...like over a year between reboots.

Used, although I'm open to new.

Factoring in price and MPG, what is the most affordable 8-seater car/van/whatever out there for big families?

Once you've gotten initial quotes from different dealers, they all seem to settle into the same range. What are some good strategies to get them moving lower again?

Can we get a script/feature that lets you move stuff from one profile's list to another in your account? I still don't have all my kids' crap off my list from before that was an option.
