Once your credit history is established, the credit rating thing is overblown, IMHO. I haven't had a card in 10+ years and my credit score is in the top-tier, the same as it was before. Any credit hit you get for cancelling cards is temporary. I haven't had any problems getting interest free car loans, or

That's pretty much what I did. I just didn't get anymore cards after killing the ones I had.

I never used store cards either. It was with various bank cards, but it was also years ago (late 90's, early aughts). Maybe its been cleaned up since then? I don't really have any desire to find out.

The Pumpkin Gutter is a great bit to have on hand around Halloween.

Or that even with paying it off every month, the credit card companies are shady operators that will find a way to make $$'s off of you, or they will cancel you. I've had a few too many times where I'm paying everything off every month and get hit with some surprise fee or they "wrongly" charge interest on something

This seems like the best way to go, but I've gotten screwed too many times with surprise fees and crap.

Interesting...that's a nice way to handle it.

The best reward is not having a credit card at all. Ugh.

Nice article!!

I know nothing about racing, and I'm not trying to excuse Stewart at all...

Hate you guys right back, and Kingsbury would be a great "get". Anyone with prior head coaching success would be good. No more on the job training folks with no experience, please.

Dammit, Foley. If you want to sell some tickets, fire that jackass we have as a coach.

I've looked into this before, but reviews on the units I looked at always pointed out longevity problems, where it would just stop working after a while. Any idea on which units are the most robust?

I'd be surprised if there weren't similarities. Any up and coming pro athlete is going to study film of the best guys who came before at their position and try to pick up some of their tricks.

Woodworking in general is always good. Stuff like building out a shop on the cheap, tool reviews, etc.

There's an IFTTT recipe to backup files and uploaded photos from Dropbox to Drive. I'm sure there are recipes for other providers as well.

For smoking, get a BBQ Guru temperature control system. You can set it at 225 degrees (or whatever temp) and forget it. It works with kettle grills, smokers, BGE's, whatever. I think their cheapest unit is around $140 now. Seriously, that's the number one best tip far and away for smoking.

Yup...this is me. I'm actually colorblind in both ways....whatever they are. I can't see crap on any of those dot picture things.

You're right...in your situation the numbers would probably work out better to buy. Having a super long commute is what puts me over the top.

I just charge off the 110v line, and its fully charged by the next morning. I did look at installing an EVSE at one point. I got a quote for around $150 for an electrician to install a new 240V circuit going to a plain 240V socket. And then the EVSE itself is around $500 or $600 for a 30A model.
