They sell far more gas engines than they do diesels. They also sell way more sedans than they do wagons and hatches.

Well, wagon variants of cars (TSX, CTS, A4 Avant) typically sell, at best, at 10% the rate of the sedan variants. Also, diesels typically do not sell all that well.

I would believe that, on the Oldsmobile front at least, Cadillac is now the technological leader at GM. See the XTS, for instance, which has a stupid amount of various gadgets as well as the latest engine tech.
