Well, I got some from DealExtreme for probably $4. They're way better than any of the headphones I've borrowed from my friends, and waayyyy better than stock earbuds.

I would suggest doubletwist instead of Cubed. It has a nice desktop app. It's not an itunes replacement by any means, but it can sync to android and just copies playlists from itunes. Plus there's sort of an app store that has qr codes in it. The android app itself is pretty nice too. Simple.
