I'm not much of a Book reader and rarely ever read books. However, if this is how Mr. Ryan Holiday really thinks and works, then I'm very happy to know that I'm not alone and it just makes Ryan and I, EXACTLY the same persons, just in different shells. That's EXACTLY what I teach and preach.
I first discovered Ryan's work a few months ago through a post on Tim Ferris's blog called "Stoicism 101: A Practical Guide for Entrepreneurs." I've been hooked on the philosophy ever since. I just finished reading Meditations. The Obstacle is the Way is next on my list.
This is a great book, definitely going to read it again.
Some people are paralyzed in their tracks when they hit an obstacle in their lives, while others manage to thrive bec…
We (American Apparel) would happily send her a boatload of stuff for the trouble this caused her. If anyone has her contact info, tell her to email us or me directly.

What a crappy taste in music, especially for a so-called "Austinite."
In regards to the Evernote vs. physical index card approach, I theorize that having physical index cards allows you to build a memory palace of notes. My idea of heaven has changed.
Never heard of this guy before this article and now I've added Powells Bookstore in Portland to my list of things to do today so I can buy his books. I love the way he works and it's what I aspire towards but cant nail consistently. I think I'm just a poor planner, which is my top item to work on over the next year,…

This was a good one, though I'd love to see more about the system that his mentor taught him. Note taking is one of my major failings and I'd love to see a good strategy for keeping long term notes that can be used.
I love this series and this one might have been my favorite so far. Glad to see someone my age doing such great things. He's an inspiration. As a LONGTIME fan of Cash Money, I can't wait to see what this book he's working on involves.
Looks very similar to my playlists. I really like catchy, dancey-type music when working. It's the only thing that can keep me paying attention to what I'm doing.
Serious workspace envy.
In the past week, Ryan Holiday read seven books, flew from Austin to Atlanta to Miami to Atlanta to LA to Maui, and…
