Honestly trying to explain it. But yeah, who is and isn’t elligble for free HBO Max, and the process by which to get it, was about as clear as mud.

I think it’s only included with ATT Cellular service if you have the Elite Premium service. If you’ve got access to HBO, you should be able to sign up for HBO Go today. Then tomorrow you can try logging in to HBO Max with your HBO Go credentials.

I’ve never seen it, but I hope someone does pick up Project Blue Book. I’ve been curious to watch it, but without a cable subscription (and not bothering to pirate it), it’s been unavailable to me.

Hmm. Interesting. I haven’t tried TOSLINK, as I’m using HDMI-ARC. Same deal, don’t need a receiver, just plug straight into the TV. Only using the passthrough for my PC, because the PC has to be plugged into it to recognize the speakers.

Do you have issues with it losing signal? I bought one last year and it’s constantly losing the audio signal and turning itself off, then won’t pick up the audio unless I turn off the TV and turn it on again (but sometimes that takes several attempts). Between that and the lack of 4K passthrough, I’m already thinking…

I’m getting it for free with my wireless plan, so I’m not going to be terribly picky, as there’s a lot of extra content on top of the free HBO Go that I already get. But I do hope the new software has better quality than HBO Go/Now’s, and supports 4K and HDR.
