Save me!
Save me!
I’m love bikes the way I love cars albeit cars greatly more than bikes. Just like cars there is a bike for every (well a lot of ) situations. The main difference i find between bikes and cars is bikes are “healthy” or a lifestyle where cars are mostly a necessity or lifestyle. There is overlap but I think the…
It is usually best to go with what it says in the car’s manual (sometimes it’s also printed on the inside of the gas filler door). The car manufacturer’s rating is for that specific car’s weight and weight distribution. Two very different cars could use the same tires, but they’d most likely have different ratings.…
Your use of Don instead of Dom invalidates your entire argument. /s
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
“Oi trees ave bilt in trackas, Gov!”
“‘We found that non-exhaust emissions, from brakes, tyres and the road, are far larger than exhaust emissions in all modern cars.”
I also remember the used car dealers stocked full of big trucks they couldn’t move and people starting to steal gas from other peoples gas tanks. Things can change pretty quickly.
For me, something that can be driven all-out, all the time:
I’ll just use my current car: A Subaru BRZ.
Stock: 200 HP/151 lb-ft at the crank.
My goal: 250 HP / 200 lb-ft at the WHEELS.
I think that would make me happy :)
Yes, I’ve driven a Supra. Other than sitting lower than you would in other cars and having a unique dash, the experience is identical if you had similar drivetrains. It’s certainly not worth the 4x premium that you’d pay with the other options, in my opinion anyway.
Mustang GT was my first car. Built it from bone stock to an awesome track day racer. Had the car for 6 years now, and plan on keeping it for good. But now I’m reconsidering since I was unaware that I have become a douchebag...
I’m amazed how Americans think 22 mpg is even good. Even 30 is barely good.
Eh, I feel like that’s just about every manufacturer. Just check Fuelly sometime for literally any car on the market — with a few exceptions of course.
Ford does the EXACT same thing. On Interstate 35 in central Texas, which is mostly flat, I “can” get 20-24mph (EPA rating is 23).
My buddy across the street had these, my parents couldnt or wouldnt get them for me. We spent HOURS each day hiding from the insane Houston heat obsessing over them
oh man, i totally had those cards, too! i forgot all about it, until i saw your pic!
Yes, I had those same collection of cards! Thanks for the reminder of them, I used to love looking over all the “weird” cars and learning that there were more engines than just a v6 or v8 (grew up with mostly American cars in the family) in the world and how absolutely cool some of the cars looked or had incredible…
Agreed. This needs a strawpoll. It’s best that we learn these lessons while we can still be fixed. It’s entirely possible that I’m surrounded by yes men (and women) that are lying to me about my douche levels.
And either way, both of these parts are a lot cheaper than an insurance claim and reckless driving ticket
