And because it has become more like Gears (the shooting is actually good), a guns blazing class is actually viable this time. As satisfying as the other classes' powers are, you don't really miss out on anything if you bring the right squadmates along.

I don't know what your definition of "role playing game" is, but you spend half the game conversing with people. Also, the romances were a big part of Mass Effect 1 & 2. Stripping them out now would have been ludicrous.

I believe all of Half-Life 2's facial animations were hand animated. All the recent Bioware games use FaceFX, which basically uses the audio files for all the lip animation. It doesn't always look perfect, but it is a good solution when you have 50 times the amount of dialogue than any of the Half-Life games.

Jeff also mentioned that Alex stole a debug 360 and brought it to him after he was terminated. I loved Alex's work on Screened.com, but I'm glad he's back on Giant Bomb.

I love how you refer to Gamespot as if it is some kind evil hivemind. The person who fired Gerstmann was also terminated 5 years ago.

I was pretty disappointed overall, but I like the implications of what could happen with the universe.

Perhaps the fact that pirates only need 6MBs to unlock it with the mission?

The charter himself is pretty worthless without the story and context.

My statements do not reflect those of Capcom or myself.

Reviews have become worthless. One review gives 50%, which is a hideous condemnation. Another review gives 100%, which theoretically places the game above everything else ever created.

You're very quick to jump to the conclusions that people want murder virtual children on pure principle and "nerdy fanboys" want to ruin someone else's "artistic expression".

I'm going to shout that brat in Whiterun off a balcony. I don't see the harm in hurting cartoonishly evil children in hilarious, cartoonish ways.

You guys are putting way too much thought into this. Just remember that the "scoring" system that you're talking about can be completely subjective and kind of arbitrary sometimes. This isn't grade school.

You had to read one paragraph comparing Skyward Sword to its predecessor in completely relevant ways. What a fucking nightmare.

I spent an entire round crashing jets and helicopter into tanks. Anyone who doesn't find that fun needs to look for more "serious" servers.

Click on any news story about a Bioware game and you will find him bitching about it in the comments. It is quite amusing.

I think it lingered on this shot half a second too long.

Hardly anyone actually spawns on the carrier after the first minute of the game. They'll either spawn directly in a jet or below deck, by a boat.

He guest starred on the Vampire Diaries for like 3 episodes. They may as well use his Pearl Harbor credit.
