It's yet another case where women themselves pay for a systemic problem (see also: pretty musicians). But it does seem most people calling this out aimed squarely at the people who made the list, not the women themselves (e.g. 'Oh soandso is WAY more qualified than soandso'), which is good. Which feels like progress.

It's definitely going to have to be brought about around the same time non-American feminists get more of a voice, internationally. Because I know it hurts some Americans to know this, but their own unique issues with race aren't always universal.

Yeah America can so adorable and young and not really into the whole shades of grey thing (unless it's badly written erotica). There is definitely a case to be made for the list being all white-perceived and how that might affect readers, especially casual or younger ones who are seeing just another sea of generic

Is there a way to throw in all the unpaid healthcare work women do, including childcare and elder care, that might otherwise be passed along to a paid caretaker?
