Anti-snobbery is another form of snobbery. "How dare you know the English language, you nerdy elitist?"

This is the kind of comment up with which I cannot put.

Not getting it. What's funny?

Something you can do with kale. Chop it into strips and wilt it in a pot with a bit of oil, layer the wilted leaves in a casserole dish with thinly sliced tomatoes, maybe two layers of each, top with a sprinkling of grated parm, bake at whatever for however long (350 for 25 minutes or whatever).

"Weird dude on Deadspin"

Well, not no streaming option. In case there's anybody left who doesn't know, cable cutters without scruples who also don't mind a few relatively benign viruses getting into their browsers can always resort to firstrowsports (a search will give you the current correct address), or the virus-free but less inclusive

Manu and Parker are a combined 2 for 17, and the Spurs are up by 5. God, I love that team.

So am I to believe that Pop told the Spurs to spend the evening at the arc, jacking up threes?

Another comparable sport I used to watch, when I lived in Japan, was sumo. It's pretty interesting when you realize that it basically is a one-on-one lineman drill, without pads. The task is to either get the man down or drive him out of the area without tackling or punching, the same basic task as an offensive

It would be a perfect "form tackle" in American football—he wraps up and drives through beautifully, except for one thing. He doesn't "see what he hits," instead ducking his head down as the hit occurs. This can cause serious harm in football, and it is what happened to Eric LeGrand.

I see what you think you see, but it's not true. I've watched over and over, and there's one place, at 0:33, just as the commentator is saying "long way", where you can see that the tackler's right arm goes over the back of the ball carrier's head without making contact. They just got tangled, and he's not taking a

They need to upgrade their monitors, apparently. Still, on this call, I don't have HD, either. I don't have TV at all. I've only seen the replay on web videos or streams, which are highly compressed and very poor quality, and it's an easy replay to see.

Here's some musical stupid from some guys who should have known better or else killed themselves, oops did I say that out loud.

"It's why people remember Willis Reed's stirring comeback, not his box score."

I'm not any expert on crab cakes, never been to Maryland; I just know that, in my experience elsewhere, I've often regretted ordering them, to the point of wondering whether this whole 'crab cake' thing is just misbegotten delusion.

It's what Pippen said about him, and according to Pippen, what MJ said as well. Well, they didn't say he shrank.
