In 1989, my parents bought me my first drum set.  I’d never played on a set before, so I sat down and learned to play most of this song.  It sounds deceptively simple early on, and got me a little frustrated as Will Calhoun starts letting more of his chops show later in the song.  It’ll always be one of my favorites.

My gf and her mother attempted to recreate Barberton chicken one year for my birthday. They over-filled the pan full of lard, and got lard into the jets of her mother’s gas range.  That was around 2010.  To this day, that burner still doesn’t burn correctly.
