LOL that gif is EVERYTHING!!

Those things don't just happen to Muslim women. Suggesting that Muslim women need to be saved from themselves is condescending and tone deaf, and part of the reason western feminism isn't able to affect huge change in the cultures that do need it most.

Don't you think that's a massive generalization? The things you're talking about are awful, but they are also regional and not exclusive to Muslims by any means.

Get them to help what? Muslim women can think for themselves and make their own choices. Maybe you haven't been listening, but Muslim women don't want to be "saved". They want to be treated like equals, both in their own culture, and by women like you who think that the parts of their culture they choose to embrace

No we don't.

*Transposes sentiments to western women trying to "save" Muslim women from their oppression*

Just the Tip, just to see how it feels.

I'll try :)

Hail Mary, full of grace.

If you tie that rosery firmly around the base of your fella's penis it will help him keep an erection longer. This has been Penabler's Sex and Religion tip of the day.

Much obliged.

No. I meant I argued calling pro-choice pro-abortion was valid. I guess it wasn't you though. Also thanks for the pro-forced birth I couldn't figure out a good substitute for pro-life.

Phew, feel better? I'll keep this quick:

Yes, BlueJeans, what you said. I have heard this discussion. Some Uncle explains that he is anti-choice because a fetus is a human life. Then he adds "Except in cases of incest." Ok, it either IS or IS NOT a human life. Once you start picking and choosing you are setting values on which "lives" are more

"Thou shalt not kill" is from the bible, not the constitution. So maybe the real issue is the separation of church and state. Which would make regulation of reproductive care for any reason other than that of patient safety something that is still none of your fucking business.

Do you eat eggs?

And lol, framing abortion as a "privacy" or "woman" issue is the stupidest shit I've ever heard from Jezebel and feminists in general. ... I never said they had no relevance to women, only that the crux of the abortion debate hinges on whether or not the fetus is a person or not, not about simply privacy.

Ha! Why on earth would something concerning women's bodily autonomy be a "woman" issue, right?

The butt of that joke is Chris Brown, for being an abuser of women.
