Completely agree re: friction. Also, I feel way sweatier when I work out in loose pants, because I can feel it dropping down my legs. Also, control top pants are awesome when running. It’s like a sports bra for my muffin top.

Additionally - in things like yoga, you need to see the body better to make sure you’re doing the positions well. I’m taking an adult beginner ballet class and the instructor told us to wear leotards or tight workout pants because she needs to see how our body looks in the positions. Is the knee extending more than it…
She’s not allowed to make political statements. William is president of Bafta. Why should she sit out? Can we stop vilifying women who aren’t doing Times Up well enough?
I have never, ever, ever had a steak and lobster home-prepared meal that didn’t suck. Doesn’t help that I don’t like lobster, but the steaks are always poorly done (especially for a large group meal). Pizza smorg all the way, then everyone can get what they want.
Smorgas all the way. Fight me in the comments.
The brothers claim to now have full legal rights to use the name and logo worldwide, and they’re pushing forward with plans to expand into other product lines, including electronics.
Trademarks are a “use it or lose it” proposition. Apple never even considered using “Steve Jobs” as a mark until these guys started doing it, which is why they lost the opposition.
I’m dying of laughter over here. This is the perfect exclamation point for Steve Jobs’ philosophy.
Doesn’t seem very classy to explicitly use a dead man’s name to make money.
I got revenge on my Nextdoor hell-neighbor by seeding his lawn with dandelions. That’s a gift that keeps on giving.
I feel like people on this site used to be better at getting jokes.
It’s not that men are banned, it’s just hard finding men who are good enough for the showcase. At the end of the day, men just aren’t that funny.
The whole thing just reeks of tokenism so yes i’d say good for her.
We’re stuck between a rock and a hard place, but no one wants to declare what they’re doing about it.
aren’t witnesses in criminal cases given immunity from civil liability for testifying
The problem with those kinds of laws – speaking as a lawyer – is that they can easily get twisted around to prevent people with limited resources from pursuing valid cases against well-heeled defendants. That’s the reason IMO we have not and should not ever shift to the “loser pays” model that prevails in some…
Policies aren’t victims. She may have said ridiculous things about women not drinking, but the majority of her writing is about the fundamental defects in most universities’ processes.
Yes, I know that and I agree its infuriating when she says things like a woman should not get drunk to prevent sexual assault but these articles raise many valid concerns that can’t simply be dismissed because you or I have a problem with the author. Also, she is not the only one raising these concerns so you’re going…
I’d definitely put them in the “not worth their salt” category. I’d also say there’s a reason that the NYT got women to go on the record on a story that Jezebel sniffed out first.
Rolling Stone would.
