I’m not sure about the writing - her twitter feed hasn’t been updated since November (https://twitter.com/sabrinarerdely) and I couldn’t find anything else recent. But she certainly doesn’t seem that repentant. The last tweet wasn’t even a blanket apology, just a link to a story about herself.

The woman she thought had survived sexual assault when she apparently bullied her to go through with the story. Whether or not it was true, the fact that Erdley thought it was and still pressured her makes anything else she did that much worse IMHO.

This seems like a way more Irish solution.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror....

This is why I like dogs.....they’ll still keep eating things that make them sick, but it’s a helluva lot easier to hide things from them.

Defamation won’t be a hurdle for rape survivors - it will be a warning for journalists who don’t even try to talk to alleged rapists, or check with fraternities for something as simple as when their parties are. If I understand the law correctly, it’s not even an issue for journalists who make a good faith effort to

I dearly hope she wins this. If the NYT this week showed us what kind of good well done journalism can do (through their nail salon piece), the Rolling Stones & Erdely in particular has done nothing but harm to their brand, to UVA and its community, and to the feminist movement in general by shoddy work.

I wait with bated breath for all of you to make my Tuesday and prove again that the world is a just and beautiful place through pictures of puppies.

Clickbait won. I clicked to be annoyed at Renner, I rolled my eyes at the overly critical blogger instead.

The task force the NYT outlined it actually pretty comprehensive. The Department of Health is going to be involved, giving new guidelines based on research. Salons will have to be bonded so they can’t hide assets if they’re found to be underpaying workers. Etc...

Seriously rethinking the brooch bouquet trend so I have an easy excuse to tell my friends/family that there’s no way in hell I’m tossing it. I feel like tossing a ball of pins and costume jewelry into a crowd of tipsy ladies can only end with an ER trip.

I’ll totally own up to it: if I have a manspreader sit next to me on the subway, I’ll aggressively compete to see if I can’t spread into his space, as long as I’m wearing pants. Often, they’re so shocked I get away with it.

This new ad campaign is morbidly sexist,

Seriously? I don’t know about your family, but in mine the parents of the bride are the only ones likely to buy prints besides the bride and groom themselves. Everyone else would probably have their own set from their cameras/phones, or not care enough to actually buy anything. Never mind the clear lack of worth ethic

Why do you keep going?

it’s a real rough situation, that’s for sure. Fingers crossed they act like adults and it doesn’t include any reality TV drama.

I guess being Irish American comes in handy here....some of my friends will show me up in white, but sister/mom/cousins/aunts/etc. will make up the difference. ;)

lol. Yes. This is on the to-do list.

Thanks!

No to the first thing, but resounding YES to the second.
