Yeah, I don’t know that you necessarily have to be excited about it. I’m not a luddite, I recognize the value that tech brings to cars, but it’s not why I’m involved in car culture.

Hirsch, I don’t see that happening any time soon. It has it’s advantages and disadvantages, but printing a weekly is very costly.

ForSweden, Blake is definitely an all-time personal fav of mine, but we’ve had some really incredible writers on staff. Aside from our current staff, I’ve been really high on a new contributor and friend of Blake, Peter Hughes: http://autoweek.com/article/imsa/daytona-rolex-24

Bob, thanks for the question. The web and magazine have far less overlap than they have, I’d say that the majority of web stories never appear in the magazine. Most mag stories do eventually end up on the web.

Raph, I am going to answer your question, even though you’re sitting less than a foot away. The Under 30 issues have been great for us, probably some of the most-loved issues of the last few years. We’re definitely going to keep doing them ever year, but I think you’ll see the magazine taking some influence from those

IDM3 Buddy, Autoweek has never been sold on the newstand, it’s for subscribers only!

DMCVegas I don’t think we’ve published one of those recently. I hate them too.

McPherson, No I don’t believe it will. It may kill commuting, but car culture is probably healthier than it ever has been. Car people will have to be proactive to preserve certain rights, but there’s definitely a path forward.

Travis, hello.

Llamawerkz. YES! We’re actually doing that. We do this exercise in the office called Weird Words that is meant to catch and cull those exact types of phrases. A lot of them are so stupid, so meaningless.

ForSweden, that’s a good question. We really don’t spend a ton of time targeting particular demographics. We try to get out into the culture and see what real people are doing with cars and cover that. I find that car people are car people and what appeals to younger people, generally appeals to older people and vice

Someone asked about 000 magazine and Pete Stout. I haven’t seen a physical copy of the mag, but it looks gorgeous. I think there’s a trend toward super-premium print magazines. I don’t see Autoweek going that direction, but I subscribe to a couple.

DrJohannVegas, that’s a complicated question, but the answer is...hell yeah.

Mike, I am sitting at your desk and I’ve changed the settings on your chair and you’ll never get it back the way you want it. You’re probably a better driver than me, but in a race, I’d have to give the edge to the Lada. It simply has too many stickers.

Hey, we’re having some technical difficulties. So, it doesn’t look like I can respond directly to your questions. I’ll just start typing responses, but you’ll have to keep an eye out for them.

Boy, that’s cool.

This looks really good. Need a beetle...

I’m at least a little redneck...

IIRC, it’s illegal in most or all places to have red lights that flash on your car if you’re not an emergency vehicle. Could be wrong, but I think I looked into adding an aftermarket kit for it to a car, then decided against it.

I’m having a daughter in Feb, and Shelby Carroll is awfully tempting.
