Hunger Games has a built-in narrative and thematic element dealing with fashion and dressing up, despite however much it's subverted by the dystopian element. (And it strikes a good balance between the indulgence of fashion and subverting consumerism at the same time). This Spider-Man film, as best I can tell from the

I don't hold that much against Ebert for not being a video game fan, but I have to say, will he and others of his ilk not try some games that are actually accessible to them? Every time he and others of his ilk talk about games of this nature, they pick ones that aren't even remotely easy to access—which, I suppose,

I mean, Hunger Games I get, Spider-Man nail polish though, I don't...understand....

There's...a demographic for this?

Keep in mind this franchise took multiple locales not-so-frequently seen in Video game display before and made them extremely fascinating. The holy land, the Renaissance, and Constantinople are all now feel like lived-in places, and I think there's plenty of potential here.

Please let him be as good as Ezio please let him be as good as Ezio..

Working guess is Skrulls, whether they'll actually be called Skrulls is kind of up in the air.

No 3-D shooting, Joss has said the 3-D will look good (But even I'm not sure I can believe him), but the schedule of upcoming Marvel Movies means that Iron Man, Cap, Thor and the Hulk are all at least guaranteed to live. Hawkeye, Black Widow and Fury would be the vulnerable main characters.

It fits with her design—she doesn't need superweapons because she can make do with the simple tools, and the fact that she's still involved with the fight despite such a simple-looking weapons signals we're probably going to see something really cool out of her.

I watched it once with my not-terribly-geeky family, and I couldn't help but notice the way they laughed at the jokes felt like the way they laughed at other stereotypes that they loved to hate on. It made me...rather uncomfortable.

My favorite too—will definitely be seeing it. Was worried it wouldn't hold up since Miyazaki wasn't directing himself, but this sounds pretty good.

Oh, sweet, glad to hear it's good! That's much better to hear about than this Fox News stuff.

Several of these are people stopping Worf from trying to kill himself. It's kind of sad. And hilarious.

So it's technically a weird Kirk versus Spock, when you think about it too hard?

First reaction: You can't be serious.

I'm sold. Andrew Garfield completely pulls off Peter Parker, and the action shots in this trailer look a lot better than what we've seen. Think this could top Raimi's first film.

Honestly? Harry Potter. Books began when I was 8, and though I wouldn't say I had particularly shady ethics, or anything, but that book series kept me aware of the power of staying a good person even when the rest of the world was ready to throw out the rulebook entirely.

Tentatively hopeful? Lee Bermejo is my new favorite artist...

Aw that clip just reminded me how much I love the soundtrack for this movie. I should watch this movie again.

I watched a short film's sound design turn into a logistical nightmare after it was edited in FCPX, and use an intermediary program to output an OMF for protools. Still the biggest reason why I won't touch it. Until it's got proper OMF support, it's not going to be sound design friendly.
