Chrysler should lean into their minivan heritage. It’s not sexy, but it’s what will sell. They can compete with the Volkswagen ID Buzz and Kia EV9, or go even more futuristic like the Canoo van. An EV platform is perfect for a minivan, it’s a no-brainer.

I wonder if doing so would put their reputation for reliability at risk? I guess they risked it in the past by partnering with BMW, and Lucid isn’t necessarily unreliable (I don’t believe any have caught fire?) - but it would be a big risk nonetheless. Unless they just use the core platform and engineer everything

Vinfast basically owns Vietnam. As much as I agree with you, they can/will do whatever they want

Remember when Vinfast first came out and they sued an owner for posting negative reviews?

If I plan on tracking, then I’m rolling up to the Porsche dealership and getting a Taycan

Breaking news: hot person meets another hot person

I wouldn’t be surprised if Geely had this development before acquiring Lotus and then had them tune and refine it before slapping on a Lotus badge

So It’s for the car’s internal systems, and not infotainment? They’ll still use the Google Play Store?

No, I know. They switched to Android Automotive, along with a lot of others recently. Seems weird to partner with Google like that then pull the plug so quickly.

I’m confused. Didn’t GM just make the leap to Android Automotive? Just about every new car by GM is built on AA. Now they want to ditch it and build the exact same thing from scratch, and expect developers to build apps for them?

Fun fact - the Z8 actually used Neon lighting, not LED or xenon

Probably because brand new ICE vehicles aren’t spontaneously combusting on their own before leaving dealer lots? If Camrys started blowing up I’m sure it would be all over the news. Not to mention you can’t simply dump water or disconnect something to stop an EV fire - you just gotta contain it and watch it burn...

It’s still crazy to me Jag had an electric XJ ready for production then pulled the plug last second. Meanwhile they were the 1st to come out with a proper luxury EV that everyone seems to forget exists. Hopefully they get their shit together this time around

Looks slick, I like the idea of a long screen at eye-level (like a high quality HUD) paired with a smaller main screen for inputs. But I hope manufacturers find a more practical use for giant screens besides showing the week’s forecast and a map of the road. Seems like a waste of R&D and $$ for rather useless

Incoming support by the Alpha Wolf to prove not all EV trucks need to be a useless eye sore (please god let this make it to production) 🥹

Keep Buick in China

Supposedly Amazon does the same with managers working the warehouse floor X times a year. Clearly this works, as Amazon has a spotless record that’s only getting better with time

Name a studio that isn’t a complete mess to work with. I have a few friends at HBO and every show there is a dumpster fire... that somehow works out in the end

Ah yes, fighter combat, the next logical jump after poker

I guess MADD never visited your school? 😂
