One thing that struck me about Captain Marvel was that it worked as a prequel to Agents of SHIELD as much as to Avengers, between explaining a) how they had a dead Kree and b) having Carol be resurrected the same way as Coulson was.

1) normally not a fan of the creator who whines about adaptations, but man rick riordan somehow makes it work. i love how much he hates those movies and i love how open he is about it. it’s like the reverse of the usual famous person searching their name/work - he does it to join in and be the harshest. respect.

The thing is, the guys demanding the Snyder cut LOVE MoS and BvS as if they were mana from heaven. I have seen too many people to count that follow Snyder say without a hint of sarcasm that his version of Superman in MoS is exactly the version they’ve wanted their entire lives. That he understood the character better…

I don’t believe that the fandom that criticised his prior films are the same fans pushing for this. The only people I personally know who have been lobbying hard for the Snyder Cut also think that BvS was fantastic.

Fair enough, that’s possible. Still, to the extent that we’re divining information about the show from casting decisions, I’d say that having Oliphant as Vanth makes it more likely that Morrison is playing Fett than Rex.

They did in the old Expanded Universe, but that’s all been nixed. You might not be able to put a genie back in its bottle, but you can put a Boba back in a Sarlacc. And we’re all better for it.
