Really? I've never heard that. I know you're a doctor, so are you saying chemo has been cruel and pointless, in your experience? I'm being sincere, by the way.

I don't agree that Sucker Punch didn't let you care what happened to the women. I cared. I thought it was a very women positive film, but I'm apparently in the minority.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Then looking through the comments, hoping to see tons of discussion about her, I thought I was on crazy pills, because no one mentioned it until you at the very bottom, and grayed out. And I'm not that well versed in the EU, but I at least know who Jaina Solo is. What is going on?

Well, good of you to try and obscure it, but actually your slip up worked out well for us in the end. We stopped watching Buffy at the season 5 finale and read the re-caps for the rest of the show. It sounds awful and we couldn't stand much more of Dawn anyway. And this way, we got a really good ending, with Buffy

Alright, thanks guys. I figure some may be interested in the outcome. Just talked to my husband and we've decided to quit watching Buffy and just watch Angel season 5. We'll read the synopsis stuff so we're not too lost. We were floundering anyway and if they're killing Anya, there's no point watching Dawn for another

I know it's beyond the spoilers expiration date, but telling my husband about Anya is probably going to cause him to stop watching Buffy, as well as Angel, so thanks for that.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Oof, season 4 sounds bad. Interesting that you are as confident as others that our feelings will change about Wesley. I'm kind of intrigued by this.

That's intriguing about unforseen actor circumstances, but I'll wait for it. That's good to have a clearer consensus about being lost if I jumped in at 5. It's looking like an all or nothing. Erk!

Well, that's fun.

So, I now know I'll love season 5, but what did you think of season 4? You say 2 and 3 are boring and you seem to share my distaste for some characters. I heard 4 was also not good.

This is interesting, because we were definitely impressed with how much they were able to make Cordelia sympathetic and interesting. The whole growth really wowed us. So having proven how capable they are of doing that, it makes me optimistic about Wesley. Thank you for sharing that. It helps a lot actually.

Okay, so you don't suggest jumping in at 5. Well, knowing Amy Acker's awesome is indeed incentive. Lorne's pretty funny. Would have preferred the demon who lived by the sewers(?) who was an informant, but I think he was killed.

I forgot to ask. You mention great characters joining. I noticed somewhere that Amy Acker joins and we really like her. Is that one of the characters you're talking about?

Oh, they continue to try and improve him. Well, I guess it's possible we could start liking him. I asked someone else, who suggested watching just season 5, so I'll ask you as well. If I were to just watch 5, would I be completely lost? And would it be better to weave it in with Buffy when the time comes?

Hmm, just going back at season 5 was suggested by someone else as well and I'm starting to think that might be the best plan. Do you know if we'll be really lost about some stuff if we do that? Of course, we'd watch it after finishing Buffy.

Actually, I just went and looked at the episode descriptions and we end up being a bit further than halfway. I think we actually stopped at Epiphany, so maybe your advice about just watching 5 is a good idea.

Oh no, season 4 is ickish? I have heard 5 is really good. Argh. Also, Wesley improves? Hmm, I've already seen them attempt to improve him, but he's still not so palatable to us.

I've heard this about season 5 and that's part of the reason we're so torn.

Can I ask you guys about the show Angel? It's hard to find a new post about it, so I'll settle for a Joss Whedon related post. So we, in my home, started watching Buffy a few months ago (for the first time) and added Angel in, when it started alongside Buffy, and followed a guide with how to watch them back and forth.
