I’m disappointed. Not shocked. But deeply resentful of things not getting to wrap up. Who knows, maybe in 5 to 10 years we’ll get a short goodbye run or special. Sucks to have so much unresolved.

Dammit. I was counting on the next season of Venture Brothers to take the sting out of the first year of the Ivanka Trump administration.
It didn’t help that the last two episodes of season 6 had to be tacked onto season 7.
After 17 years and featuring some of the most ambitious and aspirational storytelling in animation, AS isn’t going to give them at least a 4-episode wrap up? Not even a courtesy season?
2020 can blow me.
Curse you, Adult Swim! Let them do a final season! The Venture Brothers was the better version of Harley Quinn.
Why not let them do a Coda for HBO Max? Or another weird Christmas special. Adult Swim’s cancellation policy.
The writing was on the wall the second Mike Lazzo stepped down from adult swim. There was no way this show was profitable for the network with how long it took to make, how short the seasons were, and how inaccessible the writing was for new fans as the series went on -- but clearly Lazzo had a soft spot for it and…
Venture Bros. is better than Rick and Morty!
And she played right into their hands.
I’m an Aang guy myself. Sometimes I feel like there’s a bit of revisionism going on with the Korra is the best talk. I wish the Ammon story had been fleshed out better though I would be really interested in discovering more of what the tensions between the benders and non-benders is like in that universe.
Okay, but at the end of the day, which one completely screwed up the Avatar cycle and the connection to all the previous Avatars? Any Avatar unable to summon the strength of Avatar Kyoshi is simply a lesser Avatar.
Meta-Narrative Feelings: Fandom wars in general are dumb this is one of the dumber ones. Enjoy what you enjoy and let others enjoy what they enjoy, one does not affect the other. Twitter has also made this far far worse.
Or, how about, instead of encouraging an us v them attitude we appreciate what both series brought to the universe and enjoy them both for what they were? I mean... that would be something both Aang and Korra I feel would want (if they were real). I’m just tired of everything becoming “my X is better than your Y”.
Can I be team Appa?
I’m Team Kyoshi
Live long and lower your expectations.
How can Galaxy Quest get Star Trek sooo right when Discovery, a show with the actual words Star Trek in the title get it soooo very, spectacularly, completely wrong?
I would happily deep throat the tail end of the doomsday machine if it meant that fake fans would stop ruining Star Trek.
I saw the second episode as part of a focus group.
