I agree with that recent Freddie Prinze Jr. video that went viral a few weeks ago. SW video games have screwed up a lot of people’s understanding of the force.
WTF is Facebook gaming and more importantly why would anyone subject themselves to that?
I had no idea there was a thing called “Facebook Gaming”.
I would say Rebel’s was peak McQuarrie. Though it’s kind of interesting that his work is being better represented today than during his lifetime. With both Star Wars and Star Trek taking his design cues to the screen.
They reached the peak McQuarrie’s style with Rogue One, that was perfection of mixture between old-fashion and modern productions and designs. Much more so than the styles of the new trilogy, even if that one is quite good.
The end credits are one of my favourite parts of each episode. It’s like a picturesque recap of the episode.
These guys did a fantastic job capturing Ralph McQuarrie’s style.
5 of 10, no nukes.
It’s a beta test, and one that Google has a lot of stones to ask people to pay to get into.
I love paying 70+ dollars (plus a monthly fee) to have the privilege of paying full price for year-old games that will—AT BEST—have mild amounts of noticeable input latency.
Aw, hell, Werner, just fix the damn hyperdrive, wouldja!
I was excited to order this for my younger brother, hoping to pick a couple up so he could be creative in a different way (he’s technical like me so hoping to expand his mind artistically, if he so chooses). Even at $20 a pop that would be acceptable, since it’s an homage. But that price is a bridge too far.
Agree 100%.
At G/O Media, you can watch demon bloodspawn drain the life essence from a group of talented, intrepid individuals. You can also watch the cinematic trailer for Diablo IV.
I mentioned this in another thread but it does bear repeating:
Others have already mentioned the absolutely fire line in this article, but let’s just go ahead and reinforce it: shit like this is why you’re one of the best, Schreier—and why Kotaku remains the force it is in a world of bland “stick to sprouts” coverage.
“No retreat, no surrender!”
>A new cinematic trailer for the game showed a group of treasure hunters fighting against what could be demons, or private equity executives.
i grew up in nunes’ district (partially, i think we got redistricted out of it halfway through) and the first thing i heard about him was my mom saying something along the lines of “he seems like a real little shit”
