I always appreciate good HUD and menu design. Mass Effect 3 had one of the best as I recall. I’m not too fond of Battlefront’s though; it looks simple and sleek, but it just doesn’t look like Star Wars to me. Same thing with The Sims 4, it looks modern in a generic and playing-it-safe kinda way.

The internet fired the first shot, by making us so wary of online ads (throughs pop ups, autoplays, sounds, epilepsy inducing light effects, etc.) that no one even wants to give the new round of ads a chance.

I love watching these but levels like Mr. Carl’s Wild Ride are built with such a specific path in mind and exact timing I’d almost consider them part rhythm game.

Why don’t we see this much enthusiasm from people trying to make FUN levels

Giving players the option to keep you alive or kill you in an FPS is like giving players no option at all unless you are buddies or in the same clan/whatever.
