How about that Obi-Wan forgets who Leia is!

Robo-Racism, all droids look alike amiright!?

"I don't seem to remember ever owning a droid." - Jedi Alzheimer's

R2D2 specifically never has his memory erased at the end of Episode 3, so basically he knows the whole truth of Luke's family history and spends the entire Original Trilogy withholding vital information that could have saved an awkward kiss, a hand, and a ton of existential distress. What a dick.

And somehow they all made it to Tatooine...oh wait...right. The Force.

That's because that movie was dumb.

Well, to be fair, Alec Guinness Obi Wan is an asshole liar.

The Weeping Angels started out strong, but each time they appeared they became a bit more lame until peaking with the Angels Take Manhatten mess.

This whole thread will just turn into Trevor hate..
But fuck everyone!!! Trevor is so much better than the Manadarin ever was!!

Dark Phoenix, X-Men 3.

Lecter was a total mysterioso badass in Silence of the Lambs, rendered progressively lame and ridiculous as everyone (including the original author) fell in love with the character.

The Dark Phoenix Saga

The lead up to the and the Phoenix saga in the X-men. First time I saw Wolverine go beserk and hack a bunch of minions to pieces John Byrne style.

Aw man do I pity the people who stopped watching early on. They're really missing out by now.

Can I say "all of them?" I really want to say "all of them." This trope drives me nuts, as much as I love many works that include it. But in the spirit of these posts, I'll throw out one in particular.
