Huh, a story using Victorian book and story characters will have a sequel set in a different time period and location. They’re really trying to avoid the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comparisons now!

Also, the extra “G” stands for “Gifted (in bed)“. He said they couldn’t fit it on his license so there you go.

This story is not at all funny. That said, during his saga I wonder how many people he told that he went to Cornell?

Yeah, I have a feeling I’ll like his stuff when my kids get to it (and they will, too).

I cannot agree about Room on the Broom enough. Both the book and cartoon are fantastic (I agree about reading the book first but I like the small additions/changes the cartoon makes a lot). The book sells everywhere and the short is on Netflix (and only 30 minutes) so no excuses, people!

Much like Bohemian Rhapsody sands off (from what I’ve heard) a ton of edges. Biopics approved by living players are rarely as satisfying as those that are not (not that they can’t be lousy, too).

Dammit, I wanted to make lasagna tonight.

As someone who is horrible with both names and faces I have done this too many times to count by accident. This has at times made me seem like either an idiot, a terrible person, or (mostly likely) both. I can’t even do the “I’m sorry, I believe we’ve met and I’ve forgotten your name” thing because I’m also wrong the

Ah, like Drax eating chips, got it.

If you’ve seen/heard the stage musical version (I have kids, I swear) it makes some sense. They lean into the original concept for the genie which was more of a Cab Callaway character than, well, Robin Williams character. It’s different but it works.

Ah, “not as bad as you might expect”. The ringing endorsement of our times!

Agreed, I think it’s the stick that makes it.

There is moment in the trailer where a woman with a bob cut has her back to the camera and it looks just like Depp’s Willy Wonka.

As long as the main character whispers and moves like he’s got something itchy behind his shoulder blades all the time this should feel like a Fantastic Beasts movie.

I just read this week that according to one of the producers it’s Netflix’s most-watched non-original show. Anecdotally I’ve also heard plenty of kids and teens now watch it (including my niece and nephew). A year or two ago they were all into Friends and now it’s The Office.

Or when he sees a kid in a Halloween costume in the wild for the first time. It’s pretty amazing. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, IMO.

McKelvie designed one of the best costumes of the last 10 years, he deserves praise and lots of work. And probably free drinks from nerds.

“Intergalactic” - Beastie Boys - Kids love robots
“Oogum Boogum Song” - Brenton Wood - Kids like silly old songs
“Coconut” - Harry Nilsson - Kids like really silly old songs
“Desperado” - Rhianna - Kids like beats
“Chewie the Rookie Wookie” - The Rebel Force Band - Kids love Chewbacca

I’m late to this party but while it’s on the website, I’ve seen two people have to throw out containers with frozen liquid this year at TSA lines. One was someone who had a broken arm and had bags full of frozen ice for resting it in (they let him keep the frozen gel packs he also had, at least) and the other was an

Haha, Cyborg movie. They blew that instantly with Justice League. Sorry, dude, that just didn’t work out for you.
