A creator who picked the best people for the roles apparently now owes the public an apology. Excited to learn how this attitude somehow makes art better going forward.

I read this too quickly at first, and...I wouldn’t have thought she was his type.
Poor form to publish a private e-mail correspondence. It also feels like she’s tacking on “mansplaining” to justify doing it.
“Harming and upsetting”
Pathetic
Wedding Crashers seems like the Avatar of comedy films, in that it was extremely popular and yet it’s hard to find anyone going on record as liking it that much.
Sad for Russell Crowe that phones aren’t heavier these days.
Not a single gratuitous link to a crime from 25 years ago? Are you new at this?
Okay. Let’s see what he thinks if a tweet from 2011 costs him a job.

But do the Friends actors have a revenue stream that the 3 Seinfeld actors who didn’t create the show don’t at this point? I guess they got higher per-episode salaries, while the show was one, but I think the Seinfeld cast eventually got profit participation in the DVDs. That’s why they ended up doing it, I thought.
I think they get residuals (that’s a union thing) but not royalties, since the three of them didn’t own a piece of the show. Don’t ask me what the difference is, except one is clearly worth more than another. They also got a share of the DVD revenue after they held out.
