I had a Pro clip in my 4Runner, and when it left for my TDI I didn't want to spend the money on another one. I bought this mount on a whim and absolutely love it. Its super portable, and fits very well in my Jetta, and holds the weight of the phone plus me using it for navigation/spotify while driving. Easy to take

The Kenu rocks! Simple, easy to remove and works very well. I've had mine for over a year and love it. I had the Steelie in another car and thats nice too but having the magnet in the back of your phone is a bit dorky.

I absolutely +1 this. I have thus far purchased Kenu Airframes (also available in white/gray!) for my parents and my in-laws. My wife has given them to the drivers who pick her up on her frequent biz travel destinations. They all love us for it... seems like a tiny little detail, but it is truly fantastic. I hate

It's not perfect, but this is what I use. Because the vents can't hold the weight of the phone, I can't choose the angle. The bottom of the phone (mounted vertically) rests on the dash below the vent. As someone else said, it's great for rental cars, or when I drive my girlfriend's car. I like it because it's cheap,

The GF bought this for use in her car and we hate it. Part of the problem may be that her vents are loose (don't tell her I said that...LOL) and so the phone always points down as the vents can't hold the weight. I wish they made the same bracket that holds the phone (as that works great) but with an arm and suction

I would nominate it as the perfect rental car car mount, since it's not rock solid/stable enough for my needs day to day. I nominated the Proclip for that reason.

I love this thing. It just works and I never have to think about it.

Definitely this. Simple and minimalistic. Fine in the summer if you're running AC, but yeah, running heat in the winter might cause some issues with your phone. As you said though, just shut that vent you have it mounted on and you're good to go!
