Yeah, but wasn't it really buggy? Or was that just the DX11?

Oh boy! I can't WAIT to shake my gamepad to escape zombies, and swing it around to hit them!

Yay, minigame collections. EXACTLY what we need.

I bought the Steam version for, I think, around £25 with preorder discount. I did not find it under £45 for PS3 anywhere. Maybe things were different in the US, but I looked around and it simply wasn't worth it.

Well, you can always get two and switch between them.

Because it also cost about twice as much as PC version, that's why.

Crap. Now I wish I'd gone for the PS3 version, but back then, it was about twice as expensive, which really didn't seem worth it even with the PC version included.

Yeah, you need to give it a bit of time. It fairly quickly becomes obvious that it's much more than just a GoW clone. Give it a couple of hours at least, and the interesting moves and puzzles will start popping up.

Yeah, Strife and Fury. God knows why, that's not even close to pestilence and famine. But I guess they're easier to make characters with (though I can't imagine how War, Strife and Fury will be very different).

Wii was a dumb name, but it's short and easy to pronounce and people quickly got used to it.

Hmm ... that just really made me want to play the first again. May go do just that this weekend.

The problem is that it's hard not to see an exact repeat of 2006, and expect an absolute meager supply of great games for this console.

I can see the tablet having much more potential for core games than motion controls, so as long as they release some great games in the first year or so, we might be ok.

I suppose that could make for an interesting game.

I suppose so, but there's a difference between a game with a linear progression, but with some branching paths, sidequests and secrets, and a game that is essentially one single long corridor....

I hope they bump up the visual quality for the PC release a bit. Well, unless it's a disaster like Arkham City, it's definitely a PC buy for me.

What the ... Mass Effect is a completely different genre to something like Final Fantasy. I haven't played an FF game since X, but I hear the combat has been the best (or only good) thing about XII and XIII.
