Well, I can't say I've been in that situation too frequently myself... Once or twice, maybe, and it didn't end well.

Yeah. It's certainly not a new point it's making, but it's making it well.

So you spend the entire game running around while spinning in a circle? =S

But when you're facing enemies, and suddenly there's one right behind you, you're as good as dead. Plus, I hate "mash a button to get out of the grip" situations. I may have missed something, but whenever an enemy attacked me from behind that I didn't notice until it was actually on top of me, I died. Pretty much

It just made it annoying. You can't look in 6 directions at once, so you essentially need to know where the enemies are, or they kill you. Every time I got killed, I remembered where the enemies came from, so that I actually stood a chance.

I know, but so many games these days seem to be trying to get attention on the basis of violence and gore (Mortal Kombat or that new Sniper game, for example). I don't mind it being in there, and I love the God of War series, but it shouldn't be a selling point. But as I said, to many people it seems to be, so they do

I like what they're going for (though as always, the gameplay will be what's most important) but they REALLY need to change that voice actor....

Yeah, I love the environments and combat. Just disappointed they felt to do the bit from 1:51 to 2:10. Those 20 seconds actually ruined the trailer for me =/

Except the gameplay will be absolutely NOTHING like Half-Life.

You've read nothing about this game, have you?

Now playing

Though I am exceptionally excited for this game, I thought that was a rubbish trailer. But I guess it's to be expected - want to sell a game these days? Advertise all the brutal kills you can do.

And yet, imo, Bulletstorm is a MUCH better game than anything in the Gears series.

"Really lacked replay value and the Multiplayer was just awful."

Hmm ... I DID enjoy Bulletstorm quite a lot, though of course it was MUCH too short.

As long as you actually learn what makes horror good. Play some Amnesia for inspiration.

I didn't read the whole thing, but I agree with the general initial sentiment. The first 30-60 minutes should have a brief (10 minutes MAX) intro, followed by an intro to the combat that, while easy or even impossible to lose on, introduces or at least hints at the potential complexities. Also, I should very quickly

That took an awful lot longer than it takes me to reach into the inside-out cover, grab the duvet, and shake it 'till it's done.

Well, I tear off the leaves and then cut them. I've certainly never seen this before, can't wait to give it a try.

And we have Monday and Tuesday off ;)

How convenient that Monday and Tuesday are bank holidays here in the UK. Thank you, Queen, for allowing me to watch the entirety of (the interesting bits of) E3 without guilt.
