I had a 1986 Buick Estate Wagon just like the one out of Adventures In Babysitting, mechanically the same as this car. Unless he did some major work on the suspension I would run away. It was wallow-y and float-y enough with the 5.0 up front. I can only imagine with a 7.5 it’s worse off. Power without control is

Fairly effective. I had a 1986 Buick Estate Wagon with the wing. It worked.

That is remarkable. I think it is possible to belong to both. He would be swimming against the current on a number of issues if he chose to work on changing the NRA from within. Once upon a time it did not used to be a political action committee. It would be nice to see it return to what it once was or for a new

Some of that money for the ACLU came from me. I can’t wait to get the membership card.

On the street I think Ferrari has the self immolation crown.

Yes! This is exactly where I saw it. And this HBO intro is cool. I saw a *making of* documentary on it a long time ago. All that was done with scale models and stop motion animations. It hold up well.

“Seriously, they should stick this thing as is in lucite and use it as an educational model at the Petersen Museum or something.”

I remember that movie! Robert Preston was a great actor. And yes, MTM was good in it too. She rocked as a human being.

My own comment reminded me of seeing Bubba Smith tear the front seats out of one in order to drive it in the original Police Academy movie.

It’s never been a goal to wreck a car but I would hate to impact anything, even a moth, in that Civic. Then again at 6'4" I doubt fitting in it would be possible so my worries are unfounded.

Your opinion is bad. And you should feel bad.

If I did not care and wanted that new car smell one of these would make for a great deal, if it came with a bumper to bumper 100,000 mile warranty. Because I do care I would rather not have one because of quality issues and stigma.

It’s cheaper to forgo the car and keep my wife. Hence the saying: It’s cheaper to keep her.

Ah...that was fun. I love these cars. Since they are hard to find in the USA I will have to either import one for way too much money or satisfy myself with getting my hands dirty doing the same on something like a classic VW Bug. Speaking of which there is one on CL in my area for $750 in need of everything done to it

This is so 1988.

This appears to be a little to orchestrated to just be a random “oopsie” leaked photo. This was at a event attended by one, two, three, four...thirty three people that I can count. And several of those in attendance are taking notes and photos.

Some people are not bright/wise enough to appreciate the difference.

Yes to all of this.

NP: For me to purchase it I would have to look more into the rust issue. Otherwise I’d pull the trigger with no second thoughts if the test drive went well.
