When I encounter trolls in Jezebel, I usually just respond to their a-hole posts with this:

That SNL parody was hilarious. Then again I could watch Kerry Washington read a phone book so I may be a little biased, but I completely cracked up at "his cloud is full of BUTTS."

Fox News !
If there's somethin' darker than a marshmallow in your neighborhood
Who ya gonna call?
(Fox News!)

I love the idea of a Fox News medical A-Team. If you've got a medical problem, and nobody is prepared to be an ill-informed asshole about it, you can call them!

Do any of us actually come to Jezebel for "journalism"? Really?

Thanks. It is a grind. I try not to work crazy hours. But some nights I just need to stay until shit gets done. My husband handles the sexism really well, as in the people who refer to him as "the wife" in the relationship. I don't know about men in my situation, but it know I am very cognizant of all he does and

You take the early road, I'll take the late road, we'll meet back here in a few years and compare horror stories!

I love the moments I consider to be small reality seizures. Like, when thought patterns have become so ingrained that seeing something contrary just stops you in your tracks and your brain ceases to process properly.

What GGB said. I work out all the time and am still overweight because I like to eat. Weight loss = 90% diet, 10% exercise. Well done.

Eating healthy- with fruit, veggies, legumes and whole grains? Green smoothies? That is fun.

Unfortunately whether you are getting tired of it or not, you are wrong. Calling someone a cunt is misogynistic, the worst insults in our language are gendered. It's considered worse to be called a cunt or a pussy than it is to be called a dick or a cock. In fact the only insults that equate to the level of insults

I don't want to give it away in case you read it, but she's not absent for the entire book; about half way through you do get to hear her side of it in first-person narrative, I believe (it's been a while since I read it). In any case, the problem is that Amy is so ridiculously over-the-top that she is simply

If you loved the book but hated the ending, you really oughta read her earlier two books: Dark Places and Sharp Objects. Dark and addictive, just how I like things. :)

Totally agree. Books with woman as villains can be fascinating. But Gone Girl just fell back on the typical "conniving bitch" stereotypes already omnipresent in the culture. So no big surprise that it became a bestseller and a Hollywood movie.

No, I feel like I'm not living my life right or something.

I agree. And Alyssa Jones is definitely in the top ten characters of all time regardless of gender. The way she was written and handled herself in "Chasing Amy" and the way Joey played her was nothing short of amazing.

He should go to each and every one of their homes, knock on their doors, ask for them by screen name and proceed to beat the crap out of them. I feel like I saw that in one of his movies...

These two things do not seem to be related.

My GF is the same way you are. Her christmas request? She much preferred the idea of getting 'pampering' items rather than jewelry or material goods. I have the utmost respect for that.

I think my mom felt a little like stabbing my husband and I when we had our first dance to the lonely island (im on on a boat) and when the best man presented us with a cake that said congrats on the sex. But she didn't stab us, because that's crazy person behavior.
