Dude. We saw what it took for her to get to where she is. It was not healthy. It was unnatural and torturous. And she was praised and rewarded and exulted for it. That's what's so sick about it.

I agree that BMI is BS, and I think it's telling that it took someone outside the healthy BMI range to get people's attention that The Biggest Loser is basically encouraging eating disorders.

I actually agree with you, but the thing is, we don't know which actresses are naturally skinny and which ones torture themselves into looking that way. So I'm going to reserve judgement about, say, SJP because she could just look that way naturally.

Yeah, chefs typically are even snottier about vegetarians than the general population. A person saying "I was a chef" loses rather than gains credibility as an arbiter of tasty vegetarian fare.

The point is, some people would like it if McDonalds would offer a veggie burger, so they're letting McDonalds know that. It's really not like anybody's attacking McDonalds with pitchforks or demanding that all of America cater to their whims, it's just a request for a veggie option
