I watched the first Avengers based on everyone telling me it was the GREATEST.COMICBOOKMOVIEEVEROFALLTIMEOMGAHDOMGAHD
I get the same feelings in real life, especially around the office. People tend to drone on.
Yeah I’ve been reading Simmons since Page 2, and made it through 1/3 of one podcast once. I get that podcasts are a “thing” but I honestly can’t think of the last time anyone mentioned a podcast to me.
Good job w/ the Children’s Books arrangement segment. Riveting stuff, clearly not “young dad-anecdotes for young dads)
SportsCenter Anchor has indeed become this robotic persona with replaceable parts. Reminds me of a training program to be a firefighter; there is 1 way to be a Sportscenter Anchor, and you learn it, practice it and employ those tactics.
They’re lucky then weren’t shot dead AMURIGHT? Outside of the cushy confines of the NFL, “not cooperating” with whoever is in charge is grounds for 10-35 gunshots.
The NFL is a constructed, de-facto, Nu-Monopoly. (legal, yet pissing in the face of the spirit of anti-trust). Since the NFL is essentially its own city-state at this point, the natural outcome is of course, batshit crazy “laws, regulations, and discipline”.
Yeah, just like that episode of The Wire. Is Bill Simmons now posting on Deadspin w/ burners?
How this is not the most +1 comment, I do not know.
Exactly, Brady has the wealth and name recognition now and he no longer needs to please Goodell. He doesn’t “need” the NFL like most other players need it. Goodell won’t stand for that.
Unlike 99.99% of other Deadspin commenters, I do not hold a law degree and spend my days in pissing contest in online articles about law. However even a pleb like myself can read this and see it was written by angry MRA frat boys.
True story. Annoying MRA bros are flocking to law-schools. Millennial courtrooms are soon going to be filled with MRA blow hards spewing their victimhood.
There hasn’t been a good vania on the PSN since SOTN. The NintendoDS games never got ported, nor did the GBA one
Narcissism’s great irony is it isn’t attractive. The only ones who truly appreciate it are other narcissists who are looking for inspiration in how to spread the message of their own greatness.
Well you kinda forgot us “didn’t know any bettererers” who had the choice of ESPN/pg2 Simmons or Boy Ryan articles.
You can watch the show and focus on the apocalypse as a means of viewing. “Candyland on the surface”, but watch it with the mindset that all the ‘magic/candy’ is in Finn’s head. Jake is just a stuffed dog, and the kid is alone in a junkyard of the apocalypse and this is his final decent into madness before he dies of…
Not at all, I can objectively understand he is a good looking lil fella. He’s on TV and all.
Letterman’s persona is “awkward interview” that’s what he’s known for.
Someone wrote a good article on the problem. Late night TV has become “look at me and my famous friends having fun, quick post on twitter and pretend you are with us and we can all pretend to be friends”
