No, the puck hit his back so he ducked to try to keep it from rolling down his back and into the net.

But he did, right? Took that shot off the collar bone earlier in the series and had to leave that game early.
Great analogy. Sham was one hell of a race horse, might have been a triple crown threat in any other year. But not that year.
JD IIRC has espoused Republican political views in the past. So yeah...guns.
So this answers the question about whether we were gonna keep getting Blight Sox highlights even though Marchman’s been let go.
Those Expos unis were straight fire too. Loved that look.
Manny Machado: good-natured scamp.
Mrazek got hurt so McElhinney started the last game.
I agree completely. He’s frustrated. Bobrovsky’s made some great saves plus Marchand’s hit a crossbar. First line has only 1 point in 3 games. The thing is the series is extremely tight so he’s got to get his head out of his ass and contribute positively. Instead he’s doing shit like this.
“The sum of Columbus is greater than the parts and adding a player like Marchand would increase the scoring of one position by 20-30 pts, but it wouldn’t be a better team”
No I wasn’t very clear. “Good call” meant the prediction in the post that I was responding to. GMR called it that there would be no suspension and he was right. That was not meant to be a reaction to the merits of the league’s decision.
The league just announced no suspension. Good call.
He’s had 85, 85, and 100 points over the past 3 years and he’s very durable. Whatever we think of his antics, I think it’s reasonable to say there’s a lot of value there. NHL GMs wouldn’t think of him as solely a dirty player.
Lucic got that way when he lost the one step that allowed him to keep up with the league. Not a coincidence either.
He breached 100 points this year. It’s not crazy to think at that level he’s a superstar.
Honestly, I felt the same way about Subban when he was in Montreal. Stupidly talented, tremendous player, and then he’d slew-foot and dive and just act like a jackass and it was so unnecessary. He’s seemingly stopped that since going to Nashville and now I think he’s great.
There’s gamesmanship, and then there’s this. Punching a guy in the back of the head like this is bullshit, and if he gets suspended I would have no problem with it even as he plays for the team I follow. I know he’s frustrated but this isn’t the way to handle it. He seemingly can’t help himself. It’s indefensible.
We’re gonna be insufferable in any case, I promise you that. :)
That hit on Draper was disgusting. So, so bad. Those teams HATED each other. I can’t imagine how good it must have felt for Detroit to hang 7 on them in Game 7 of the conference final in 2002.
This is a fair point. No one in my leagues was playing with a $200 stick. We nearly all used wood. My sticks were always $20-30.
