Matt Cassel is always available, reason being he sucks.
Isn’t that an IUD?
I’m sure Orlovsky could be talked out of retirement.
They’d rather sign Wrangler Boy first, and he’s made of glass at this point.
Can you just imagine the absurd cavalcade of strokes the Cheeseheads would have if they signed Kap? The angioplasty rate in Wisconsin would skyrocket. The defibrillators would be ringing like the goddamn Anvil Chorus.
Jet Fool puts belt on real seams.
Great googly moogly.
Yeah, such a strategy might make sense if the FG try was 30 yards or so, but 54 yards is a long enough attempt to be iffy. Have to work further down the field.
He may well have been too dispirited to argue the call. If Cabrera hits that ball at a fielder, they could get a double play and go to the World Series. Instead he’s just watched his whole season collapse in about 6 seconds. Must’ve been horrible to process.
Sadly you’re undoubtedly right. This fucking league sucks.
I think the RGIII thing referenced in the article qualifies.
Fouts is just awful.
Looking to EEI and TSH for a comprehensive NFL rules explanation is an exercise in futility.
Neutral fan? I declared early, LOL
Yeah, I’m reading around a bit and I guess the explanation is that he lost the ball (true given the pic I posted below) and did not FULLY regain control before landing out of bounds, so it’s considered a fumble out of the end zone and a touchback.
I guess this is why? But still looked like he got back control before hitting the pylon for the TD.
This whole season has been bizarre. How the hell did the Falcons lose to Miami?
I thought so too, but the rule book is so opaque it’s impossible to know for sure.
