I know.  They hit the nail on the head with several of those early comic book adaptations.  Both Sir Ian and Sir Patrick were perfect choices for their roles.  Robert Downey Jr and Hugh Jackman are another two that I think were aced.

Raul Julia took that role for his son who was a huge Street Fighter fan. I think it’s a great way for an actor to be remembered.

FWIW, it’s explicitly mentioned in the DVD commentary with Waters - their first and last names are intentional, with Betty and Veronica being from the Archies, naturally. I thought it was talked about in the book below too (coincidentally written by actor John Ross Bowie), but it’s been years since I’ve read it.
