This is some great design work. Only thing is I'd hate to play an actual game that had the Pokemon rendered in a realistic style. The Pokemon themselves will need to stay fairly cartoony (but with nice lighting) with large swathes of similar color without looking too out of place in their surroundings. I really

There's a certain charm to playing as the kind of lame pieces like the iron or thimble. Kind of like playing the joke character in a fighting game. Except in monopoly most of the pieces are rather mundane inanimate objects. I say kill off the cool ones.

I was never sure if it was a spinning wheel or a cannon.

I bet no one ever guessed Black/White.

Anyone think the head looks like Andross from Starfox?

There's a feeling I get when playing Minecraft. After a few nights you've built a small well-lit house which is well stocked and basic survival is no longer difficult. You're left with a game with no objectives, no missions, nothing but a giant sandbox. You can explore for a while, but there's nothing in

I think I read this expecting some sort of answers. They were of course not so easy to find so I got a somewhat depressing read that deals with the escapism of video games in a realistic way. Good luck everyone.

Anyone else find it odd that we call them AAA titles if they aren't the best? In Hollywood they just call them blockbusters (even when they don't sell well). Or big-budget.

I think generally as you get older you find less time for games and are less willing to commit the 10-30 hours to play through a game. You start to want shorter games with less filler or games you can play on your own time in small playsessions. Based off of your list of games it sounds like you might want to look

So we can either have a huge day 1 software patch or not get the Wii U this holiday season. I know which one I prefer.

Wait, is this a FF game that works like Majora's Mask? Sick!

What's the catch? It seems like a bailout to me.

Are we talking quality or sales potential?

School shootings are mostly a new phenomenom and have definitely increased in frequency since about 1996. Random rampage shootings in general aren't as clear of a trend, but we're currently seeing what looks like historically high levels. In the early 80's mass shootings spiked but then decreased through the early

Man I'd been enjoying watching his career slowly progress. RIP in Peace indeed Trinen.

Early adopters of Wii U are generally either: Diehard Nintendo fans, people with enough money to buy multiple consoles, or people who bought it as a Xmas gift for someone else. None of those people are likely to be online right now playing a 3rd party game missing the core feature of its PS3/360 version.

"the Wii was probably the worst console of all time for sports video game development". Huh?? Weren't the Wii versions of Madden supposed to be pretty interesting, at least the first few? The whole motion controls opened up a ton of possibilities for sports games even if some of them turned out a bit gimmicky.

I think he's a character that actually looks better when cosplayed by women.

Smartest: Publishing deals with Platinum Games. Seem to be aggressively courting Japanese devs. A classic/pro controller that looks like something actually worth buying. If all continues well, MiiVerse for finally getting real about online in a uniquely Nintendo way.
